Coins & Tokens — What’s the Difference?
Stripchat uses a virtual currency called coins or tokens (tk). These are exactly the same thing — the site uses both terms interchangeably, so don’t let that confuse you.
For a first purchase, 200tk ($20.99) is a solid starting point. It’s enough to explore paid features without overcommitting.

What You Can Do Without Tokens
Stripchat can be watched without an account. Here’s what’s available without tokens:

Language Settings
If the site is displaying in the wrong language, scroll to the very bottom of any page and select your preferred language from the dropdown menu. The homepage can be long, so it’s easier to open a model’s room first, then scroll to the bottom from there.
How to Find Japanese Models
Stripchat has models from all over the world. To filter for Japanese models, open the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top left — available on both PC and mobile — and use the country and category filters.
Select Japan under the country filter to show only Japanese models.
Using Favourites
- Favourited models appear at the top of the homepage when you open Stripchat
- To favourite a model, tap the heart icon in the bottom left of their room
- Tap the bell icon to receive an email notification when they go online (※ occasionally unreliable)
- Model announcements and updates can be found in the Feed section of the left menu
Reading the Room — Who’s in There?
Before entering a room, it’s worth checking who’s already in there — it gives you a good idea of how lively the stream will be.
- Viewer count: Rooms with too few viewers can feel awkward. 50–100+ is a comfortable range to aim for
- Many Fan Club members: A sign that the model is well-liked and worth checking out
- Fan Club and Ultimate members present: These users tend to tip and control toys actively, which keeps the stream energetic — a bonus for everyone in the room
Your First Tokens — How to Use Them
Don’t rush into spending tokens on a model you’ve just found. Take your time and get a feel for things first.
- Just 1 token lets you chat unlimited times. Start with a simple greeting like “First time here!” — models tend to remember users who introduce themselves.
- When tipping, use the tip menu — it lets you attach a preset message along with your tip.
- Before joining a paid chat, ask the model “How much for a show?” or “How many tokens?” via chat — they’ll usually tell you, and how they respond gives you a good read on their personality.
Common Beginner Mistakes

- Spreading tokens across multiple models and then not having enough left when a paid chat starts
- Running out of tokens mid-show and having to buy more at a worse rate under pressure

Chat Etiquette — Please Read This
Models are real people. Please be respectful and avoid sending anything that could make them uncomfortable.
⚠️ Never Use Banned Words
Posting obscene or violent language in the chat will instantly wipe the entire chat history for everyone in the room. It’s not just your problem — it affects every user present. Please be careful.
On top of that, your account can be frozen — even if you still have tokens remaining.
Models Have Rules Too
Models are also bound by platform rules. Displaying certain content on camera — such as bodily waste — is a violation that can result in their account being frozen.
(For reference, squirting is permitted under the platform’s rules.)
